  • Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.

    Our Kopter Engineering department is the heart of a growing company with a long term vision. Currently employing almost 150 engineers, we are growing steadily, and in all departments.
    Our engineering is constantly making improvements, and fresh knowledge and experience, as well as leadership capabilities are important factors required from new engineers.

    If you are a specialist or engineer in aircraft or helicopter design then we are looking forward to your spontaneous application, not only but particularly for the following technical disciplines:
    • rotor blade development, primary structure design, development of helicopter flight systems, propulsion, environmental control, aircraft systems, structural design, composite structure design, System Safety, Reliability and ILS
  • Our further general requirements are in particular but not limited as follows:

    • University degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent
    • At least 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in the aerospace industry, preferably helicopters
    • Expertise in developing and certification of rotary or fixed wing aircrafts
    • Technical experience in aerospace structures design, development and civil certification, preferably in the helicopter industry
    • Knowledge of certification skills, engineering principles, manufacturing techniques and analytical skills to certify products which meet or exceed specifications and requirements.
    • Experience with 3D CAD systems, MS Office, SAP, Teamcenter, Siemens NX CAD
    • Working knowledge of EASA certification specifications
    • Experience in certification and testing activities
    • Good English language skills (both verbal and in writing)
    • Certification activities with other departments and stakeholders
    • Experience with technical documentation for product development and certification
    • Prepare justification reports for non-conformance's and elaborate repair solutions
    • Knowledge of EASA Part 21 J&G and CS27
    • Experience in working with QMS documents
    • Capability of a continuous improvement of a rapid-turn design-to-specification process
    • Good team player skills, self-driven attitude and the ability to work to strict and challenging deadlines
